Families through AdoptionWhy Choose MAPS?

Quality and Integrity

We take pride in our nationwide reputation for strong and ethical adoption programs. We are a licensed non-profit agency with the highest standards of customer service and client support. MAPS is Hague accredited through the Council on Accreditation and is a member of the Joint Council on International Children’s Services, one of the oldest and largest child welfare organizations and a lead voice on intercountry children’s services and child welfare issues.

Experience

We have been forming families through international and domestic adoption since 1977, and have placed thousands of children into loving, permanent homes. We understand that adoption is a momentous journey for every family, and will help you through the process with compassion and expertise.

Expert staff and personal service

You will be in the hands of caring and dedicated professionals, from our social workers and adoption program coordinators to our bilingual overseas staff who assist families through the in-country portion of their international adoption. Most of our staff members have a personal connection to adoption, and all of us are committed to exceptional service and to exceeding the expectations of our clients before, during, and after the adoption process. With MAPS, you can expect personal service from a staff that knows that every adoption and every family is unique.

Humanitarian aid

We are more than an adoption agency, and our commitment to children extends into all that we do. For decades we have funded humanitarian aid programs to improve the lives of families and children around the world. Closer to home, we also provide comprehensive residential services for at-risk young people and for homeless, pregnant, and parenting women and their children through our shelter services and our Stepping Stones programs.
