International adopted childInternational Adoption

In 1991, MAPS became the first American adoption agency invited to work in Russia. This began our mission for developing more than a dozen international programs to help children worldwide and provide families with adoption choices. MAPS International’s exceptional staff provide families with the information, guidance, expertise and support necessary to pursue adoptions from their country of choice. We develop and maintain strong partnerships with foreign governments, adoption officials and many orphanages. Once you have decided to pursue an international adoption, a MAPS program coordinator in the U.S. will work with you on the paperwork, requirements, travel, and expectations particular to the country and orphanage/foster care program you will be adopting from.
