Xinyang Foster Care Program

Our foster care program in Xinyang, China gives orphaned and abandoned children the family life they need and deserve. In partnership with Love Without Boundaries, a non-profit foundation focusing on China’s orphans, we are funding foster homes for five Xinyang children who would otherwise remain in orphanage care.

By moving a child from an orphanage to a family home, we give security, stability, and the safety and comfort of being nurtured and valued. We give a sense of belonging—and a family a child can call “my own.”

China foster family

Each foster family is carefully trained, and all receive ongoing supervision and guidance from a local foster care manager who visits the children and the foster parents in the home. China foster familyThese local managers not only offer individual support for the families, but can also provide additional food, medical care or other supplies as needed.

The children are toddlers or preschoolers, and all were living in the Xinyang orphanage before our sponsorship enabled them to move to their new foster homes.

All of the children have special needs, including glaucoma, cleft lip/cleft palate, heart defects, and hemangioma (benign epithelial cell tumors.)
