Support Groups

Bangor, Maine
229 State Street

Support groups will now be held on a regular schedule beginning November 14th from 6:00 -7:00 p.m. at our new location, 229 State Street. They will continue each month thereafter on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:00 -7:00 p.m. Please check here for support group topics and dates in all of our MAPS offices. We welcome families in all phases of the adoption process.

Bangor children’s groups

This support group will run for three consecutive weeks beginning January 14, 4:00 -5:00 p.m. at our Bangor office. It is intended for adoptees ages 6-10 who are interested in exploring thoughts and feelings about being adopted. A more specific outline of discussion topics and activities will be available to parents on the first afternoon of the group. Please contact Kristen by December 15th to reserve a spot for your child and discuss any special circumstances: 478-9141.

A group for families at any point in the process who want to connect with other waiting families for camaraderie and support. Facilitator: Katie Campbell
