Residential Programs
Our residential programs, MAPS Shelter Services and Stepping Stones, provide a variety of support services for at-risk pregnant or parenting women. Shelter residents are at least seven months pregnant and/or parenting, and at least 18 years old or emancipated. At Stepping Stones, located in Houlton, Maine, our services include a Transitional Living Program for runaway and homeless youth ages 16 through 21 who are pregnant and/or parenting, and a Licensed Residential Facility (a teaching and assessment program serving women ages 15 through 25 and their children.) Other services include a youth drop-in center for 12 through 22 year olds, a compulsory attendance school, life skills classes, nurturing/parenting groups and on-site childbirth education.
